What is MiaPrep?
MiaPrep is an online high school curriculum only. This means that MiaPrep is only the accredited curriculum and is not a school; a diploma is not provided upon graduation, and you will need to follow the rules for homeschooling in your state.
MiaPrep is the high school version of our K-8 site Miacademy. Students have access to all 7th-12th grade courses and can fully customize their classes to work at their own pace. MiaPrep’s accredited curriculum offers both core and elective high school courses in subjects such as:
- English Language Arts
- Science
- Math
- Social Studies
- World Languages
- Art
- Music
- Life Skills, including Financial Literacy, College Prep, Computer Programming, Adulting 101 (Coming Soon!) and so many more!
MiaPrep offers games and moderated social features where students can be creative and make friends in a safe online environment. However, since MiaPrep is a curriculum and not a school, you won’t have access to school-sanctioned student clubs, instructor office hours, or student ambassador opportunities. In addition, parents will need to provide their own homeschool diploma upon graduation.

What is MiaPrep Online High School?
MOHS is a high school online, not just a curriculum. This means that MOHS is accredited as a private school, and a California State diploma will be provided upon graduation. Parents will need to either follow the rules for homeschooling or private schooling, depending on your state’s definition of homeschooling.
With MOHS, the experience is similar to “bringing high school to you” — with opportunities to meet instructors for office hours and homework help, virtual clubs to join, and even periodic live seminars from guest speakers. With MOHS, you’ll use the same MiaPrep curriculum, but you’ll have the opportunity to meet with your instructors for office hours, talk to advisors about the best graduation path for you, join student-run Discord servers, become a student ambassador, and more!
MOHS is great for students who:
- Benefit from advisor check-ins to help them stay on track to meet their goals
- May need instructor support with high-level courses (chemistry and calculus, anyone?)
- Don’t need 100% customizability with courses
- Prefer not to create a graduation plan from scratch
- Have post-graduation plans that benefit from an accredited high school diploma
- Desire a more “traditional” high school experience with clubs, student ambassador opportunities, and a graduation ceremony
